As I am moving ahead in my journey ahead, I am learning new things and would like to share the same with you. Also I would like to remind you about our strategy. I will be posting useful stuff to make  a nice website/blog and to do its publicity as well as Search Engine optimization also known as SEO.

Most of the times bloggers start their blog with a name like buckstoblog.blogspot.com. This is pretty usual because its free and takes a minute. But afterwards when you start getting more traffic, plaacing ads on your site and starting making money, you think of getting your own domain name. It is nothing wrong in that way but sometimes the domain name with the same blog name might not be available and you migh take some other name.

So do this, as soon as you start your blog, the first thing is get a domain name which must be either your or your company name or something matching the topic on which you are going to write.

Getting a Domain Name in Blogger

Its Easiest thing to do.

Steps

 1) From your blogger dashboard - Click on Settings.


2) From the Settings Tab - Click on Publishing.

3) You will see something like this

Click on Custom Domain

After that it is straight-forward.

You have to select a domain name by typing the name and click Check Availability. When you get the desired name, continue it and checkout.

It will cost you just $ 10 per year for the domain name.

Also keep automatic renewal of the domain name active. If you missed to renew it next year, you may loose your domain name.
